Specialized transportation truck hauling reel Transmission line towers

A high-voltage power transmission line in San Diego and Imperial Counties will bring 1000 megawatts of renewable energy from the Imperial Valley to San Diego County. The 120 mile long 500 kilovolt power line estimate is $1.9 billion for construction.

TTSI's Role

  • Manage & operate 2 primary material storage yards for project
  • Setup project staging/fly yards - a total of 18
  • Security setup at main sites (Remote camera monitoring/Onsite Security)
  • Setup installation of BMPs per project SWPPP
  • Cut & crush of all non-restricted vegetation
  • Instal perimeter fencing based on approved design
  • Prepare access road
  • Setup/installation helipad areas at all fly yards

Innovative Solutions

  • Provide visibility to all material received and shipped from material manufacturers
  • Process material orders from primary contractor via wireless handheld units

Due to these implementations, loss of materials on the project was zero

TTSI transports materials and supplies for the storied and prestigious America's Cup. This noble event attracts not only the world's top sailors and yacht designers but also notable entrepreneurs and sponsors.

It is a test not only of sailing skill, boat and sail design, but also of fund-raising and management skills.

TTSI was selected as the transporter of the world’s largest mobile crane, nicknamed "Big Benny", from the Port of San Diego Terminal to Chandler, Arizona where the crane is being assembled. Big Benny has a maximum lifting capacity of 3,200 ton

The crane was built for the construction of an Intel fabrication plant, and takes up to 10 days and 210 loads to transport its parts.
