The Port of Los Angeles is doing everything possible to increase the flow of cargo so that it gets to its destination faster. As part of this effort, the port has recently implemented the Peel Off Program.
"The name Peel Off comes from the fact that we're taking the next container off the pile. Instead of hunting and pecking we're taking the next container, and it's much more efficient for the marine terminal operator." says CEO/TTSI President Vic La Rosa.
The Peel Off Program emerged from a collaboration of Total Transportation Services Inc, Pasha Stevedoring & Terminal LP, Major Retailers, Marine Terminal Operators, Los Angeles Fleet Operators and the Port of Los Angeles.
The Peel Off Program is a prime example of how the Port of Los Angeles is working with it's supply chain partners to create solutions that increase cargo flow and take efficiency to a whole new level.
